Before serving on the Board, Nikki was Co-Chair of the District's Master Facilities Task Force. She decided to run for the school board because she is passionate about advocating for students and elevating conversations about issues that impact them. Nikki believes we need effective leadership at all levels of education. And, she states that just as we raise our children to be the change, we must lead by example.

Kelli Davis
Board Vice President
Kelli Davis begins her term as a Board member in January 2022. Her term runs through 2025.
Kelli holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from The Ohio State University.
Davis’ interest in building bridges between students, teachers, staff and community members is, in part, the reason she chose to run for the Board. She also believes in a student-centered approach to district leadership, which starts with productive, honest, open communication and a commitment to building on common ground when making decisions.
Kelli understands the importance of building a kind, respectful, and safe environment where all students and families are empowered to use their voices to share diverse perspectives on exciting opportunities and tough decisions. As a school board member, Kelli wants to play an active role in fostering that collaborative environment by connecting meaningfully with others, listening to all points of view, and openly sharing information. She plans to bring a unique, productive, and positive approach to helping a district continue to evolve, grow, and improve in a way that empowers all students to thrive.
Kelli and her husband have two children, a graduate of Worthington Schools and a current student.

Jennifer Best
Board Member
Jennifer Best has been a member of the Board of Education since 2001. Her current term runs through 2025.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University. She currently works as an Accountant.
Best decided to run for the school board over twenty years ago, after volunteering in her children’s schools and serving as a PTA Officer. She was encouraged by community members to seek the board seat. She wanted to be supportive of the district while making sure the community and staff were involved in decision-making.
Jennifer and her husband, Bill, have two grown children. Both graduated from Worthington Kilbourne High School. Daughter Jackie, her husband and their child live in the Worthington School District. Son Brandon, his wife and their daughter live in the Philadelphia area. Jennifer has four nieces and nephews who graduated from Thomas Worthington High School.
Jennifer grew up in Worthington and is happy to be a part of the community. She enjoys being a part of the Board of Education and a great school district. She is especially excited to see students in the newly renovated Perry Middle School as she was a student there the year it opened!

Amber Epling-Skinner
Board Member
Amber Epling-Skinner began her first term in January of 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Ohio University and a Master’s degree in Political Science/Public Administration from Marshall University.
She is currently employed by the City of Columbus where she is the Director of Communications for the City Auditor’s Office.
Amber, the mother of three school-aged daughters, has always been active in her children’s schools. For the last decade, she served in leadership positions with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and volunteered as a room mom. She also assisted with numerous extracurricular activities.
Amber and her family moved to Worthington from Southeastern Ohio, specifically to enroll her daughters in Worthington schools and she’s been thrilled with that decision. She says Worthington is home, and with a young son, she and her family are here long-term.
Amber would love the opportunity to shape the future of Worthington schools. She ran for the Board of Education because she cares deeply about the success of the school district and its teachers, staff and students.
Amber lives with her husband, Brian, three daughters, Gabby, Annabelle and Rosalie, and son Henry.
She has been a member of the Treasurer’s Advisory Council, President of the Phoenix Middle School PTA, a member of the 2022 Levy Campaign Committee, and she participated in the recent Portrait of a Learner community group.
