What is Seesaw and why are we utilizing it?  

Seesaw is a Learning Management System that allows teachers to provide their students and families with detailed activities, videos and feedback all in one place.  Seesaw is a great resource for all learning scenarios that we might be faced with this year: remote, hybrid and all in. 

While our school campus is closed, we will use Seesaw for home learning. Seesaw helps us work together to provide students with meaningful learning experiences at home.

Your child’s teacher will use Seesaw to share learning activities and resources, capture your child’s learning, and communicate about progress and needs.  This will be the main platform that you will want to visit daily to get communication from all of your child’s teachers.  If you have more than one child, you will be able to log in one time and toggle between each child’s account.

• The Journal is where students and families can see the work they have completed and feedback from their teacher. 
• The Activities is a feed of all assignments (which can include videos and step by step directions) that the student has for that class. 
• The In-box is for messages from the teacher to all students/families in the class.  Gmail will still be used for communication to parents.  

Both students and parents/guardians will log in to Seesaw using the Class App to see their student’s assignments, communication from the teacher, and how their child is growing!
