The architect completed construction documents, and Ruscilli Construction has provided their Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP)/Bid to the District.  Construction of Phase 1 (Academic Area) has begun and is projected to be completed in August 2024.  Construction for Phase 2 (Student Dining and Administration Offices) will begin in May 2024 and is projected to be completed in August 2025.  Construction for part of Phase 3 (Art/Music Area/Auditorium) is to begin in May 2024 and is projected to be completed in November 2025.  

Construction of new baseball/softball fields will begin in May 2025 and is projected to be completed by September 2025.  Renovation of the Main Gym will begin in May 2025 and is projected to be completed by October 2025.  Renovation of the Auxiliary Gym will begin in May 2026 and is projected to be completed by August 2026. 

The district is currently reconciling the Design Development cost estimate with the Project Budget. We are also currently working on the Construction Documents.  

The Architects will submit these documents to Ruscilli Construction for them to provide their Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP)/Bid in November 2023.  The GMP is projected to be submitted to the District in January 2024.  Construction is projected to start in March 2024 and is to be projected to be completed in January 2026.

In September, our architect submitted Design Development documents to Ruscilli Construction for cost estimating.  Public meetings began with the City of Worthington Architectural Review Board last week (October 12). Construction Documents are expected to be bid on in December 2023.  

The GMP is projected to be submitted to the District in February 2024.  Construction is projected to start in April 2024, and the building is projected to be completed in August 2025.

Despite a pending punch list, TWHS students have begun using the turf field. The lighting system has been calibrated, and staff have been trained on the system. Final grading has occurred, and grass has been planted in the area. The TWHS lacrosse wall has been poured, and the final finish is occurring.  

WKHS turf will be completed by the end of October. Challenges with soil conditions delayed this project further than anticipated. The lacrosse wall has been poured, and final grading will soon be complete.

Assistant Superintendent Randy Banks will visit a PTA meeting at each elementary school this fall to update parents on the upcoming Phase 3 process. The presentation will include a brief review of Phases 1 and 2 and a discussion on possible factors for the third community task force to consider. 

Two of these factors are enrollment and condition. The district plans to get updated enrollment projections in 2024 and has contacted an architect to reassess the elementary facilities after the first of the year.
