Transition Programs
-
Worthington Schools partners with several transition programs. In order to be considered, a student must be recommended by their IEP team and be accepted into a program through an application process. Students attending a transition program must have fulfilled all of their academic requirements for graduation and defer graduation in order to continue to receive transition services. If you would like more information about one of these programs, please contact the district Transition Specialist.
Campus Based Transition ProgramsThe ESC of Central Ohio has partnered with area institutions of higher education to give Central Ohio students with disabilities an opportunity to explore, develop and refine skills necessary to enter competitive employment. Students focus on individualized transition plans to achieve future adult living and career aspirations.
The ESC offers three unique programs on the campuses of Columbus State Community College and The Ohio State University, which serve students 18-22 who have completed or met all graduation requirements, and have elected to defer their high school diploma. Each applicant for CBT is considered a candidate for all three programs and is accepted based upon availability, individual needs and work experience.
