Transition Courses & Training

  • Sheltered Internship - Internship - Enclave
    Worthington Schools offers several courses for students with disabilities who are working on pre-employment skills.  Students complete unpaid work experiences at a school or community based worksite with the support of an Intervention Specialist or a Transition/Job Coach.

    Job Training
    This course designed for students with disabilities who need assistance in seeking, obtaining, and maintaining competitive employment in the community.  Students be at least 16 years of age and must have the ability to transport self or to obtain own transportation. 

    Placement in a transition course is an IEP team decision.  Please contact us if you would like more information about one of Worthington’s transition courses. 

    Delaware Area Career Center
    Information about Delaware Area Career Center programs can be found on their website and in the counseling center at your son/daughter’s high school.  Any student with an Individualized Education Plan that attends DACC will have access to the Vocational Special Education Coordinator (VOSE) at DACC.
